Velvet and Lace

You appear again in my dreams
dresses in velvet and lace
ruffles at your throat and cuff
a flowing deep green cape
with a clasp of amethyst
a vest of floral tapestry
and fitted brown suede pants
knee high boots of
buffed black leather
Your hair is black as midnight
Your skin as pale as the moon
Your eyes like two firey emeralds
burn through me in one glance
Your lips the shade of well-aged port
part slowly as you whisper my name
into the darkness.
